Max continues to surprise us with new behavior, some of which resulted in his dad having to miss a business trip to Seattle late this week. After his seemingly endless battle with head congestion, he decided to scare the crap out of us with what appeared to be minor seizures. We took a trip to the doctor and were told that it was probably a panic reaction to stomach pains, which were caused by a probable stomach bug.

The week hasn’t been all bad, though…

Somehow we managed to get the entire back yard landscaped in three days (the trick is to pay someone else to do it). We can now open our blinds and look at more than just a fence, which is nice. It’ll also encourage us to get outside a little more often during the spring, which will be good for Max. Once he’s crawling, I bet I can teach him how to pull weeds…

Despite his sickness, Max’s demeanor hasn’t changed too dramatically. He’s still enjoying time in his crib and elsewhere.

AHOY! Christy said Nan would like this outfit.

He also got a chance to hang out with his grandparents this weekend. He was a bit of a stinker, but they did manage to get a little quality time in with him. We’ll just have to try again when he’s feeling a little better.

Max enjoys mirrors and little stuffed dogs.

He also likes looking pathetic so his grandparents will feel sorry for him.

We closed out the week with a pretty good day. He’s still a bit fussy, but he seems to be doing pretty well with reaching out and grabbing objects now. He’s also holding his head up like a champ and making all the right motions for crawling. We both noticed that he’s climbing up us when he lies on our stomachs. Fun stuff! He also seems to have mastered the remote.

Mommy is trying to explain scramble rules…I don’t think Max is getting it. (Thanks for the clothes, Mimi!)

…oh, and I haven’t had a haircut in 12 weeks.

Come on, Christy. You can’t even tell.

See you next week!
