Looks like I’m a little late again, but I took a little time to process a video for the week so hopefully that’ll make up for it. This week was pretty laid back, aside from a bit of trouble with the little guy and a visit from an old friend of ours.
I suppose we’ll start with the little one, who’s working hard to keep his mother up late at night. Compared to his brother, he’s always been a bit more difficult when it comes to his diet. We crossed the threshold out of constant food throwing a while back (woohoo!) but recently he started refusing food almost entirely. It’s been up and down for a few weeks now, but hopefully we’ll get him back on track soon.
Luckily we didn’t spend the entire week worrying about all that, as we had a visitor drop by.
The boys spent plenty of time hanging out in that closet, pelting Chris and I with balls.
After a while they got bored, and once we corralled the ball pit back into place we decided to engage them in something a little less strenuous.
That lasted right up until the girls headed out to pick up some pizza (with, at his insistence, Owen in tow). Once they were under the protection of their very responsible dads, they immediately started roughhousing.
Of course, they saved some of their amusing antics for the downstairs area as well.
Once we finished chowing down, we suited the boys up and headed down the street to our local pool. Max now pretty much always insists on wearing his goggles.
It was at that point that I had to go put the camera away so I could join in the fun. There was plenty of time to swim, jump, splash, and toss balls around. Once everyone reached their full exhaustion point, we headed home for a nice long rest.
As if that wasn’t enough excitement for the weekend, we wound up having some plans on Sunday as well. Once we’d gone through our typical breakfast/snack/playing/lunch/nap routine we had decided to get Max together with one of his school pals for an afternoon showing of Winnie the Pooh. Seeing as the movie was only about an hour long, we decided to give his little brother his first movie-going experience.
Max had a great time giving some cookies to his buddy and getting a ring pop in return. Once all was said and done, the boys were a happy sticky red mess. Except for Owen, who decided to bail about five minutes into the movie. He made it all the way through the previews and the cartoon short, but that was all he was willing to tolerate. I guess we’ll try again when he’s a little older.
With that, we’ll close things out for the week. If you want to see the rest of the photos, you can click here. Otherwise, feel free to enjoy this amusing video before you head out in the wilds of the internet.
Max and Owen don’t hate Mondays for some reason.
Have a good week, everyone!
