T-Ball, Bouncing, and a Visitor

< | >

This week was a bit more active for us, given that we had Max’s first official t-ball practice, a birthday party, and a last-minute visit from a cousin.

T-ball practice went about as we expected. Lots of four year olds running around trying to just barely follow the instructions given to them.

Max is pretty decent at the plate so far.

“Goooo Super Hero Squad!”

Their original team name was going to be the “Ball Bashers”. Thankfully, someone took exception to that so we won’t have to deal with the double entendre for the rest of the season.

The following morning, Max got himself into a bit of trouble by not listening and throwing some major fits. After he was dropped off at school, he apparently decided to make it up to us by doing this:

Owen got top billing, naturally.

Be angry at that. I dare you.

He was much better behaved the rest of the week. The weekend came a bit early when an electrical problem at school gave the kids the day off. We didn’t have much in the way of plans so we decided to take the boys out for some free play at our local bounce house emporium.

Owen quickly located the one that was filled with balls.

Max joined us shortly thereafter.

I was able to coax them out of there after a while.

He got trapped in the obstacle course for a minute or two, but was much happier once I helped him escape.

Eventually they moved us to the other room, where the boys played king of the hill.

Then they insisted I join them in the other obstacle course.

…and a good time was had by all.

The following day, we found out that some cousins were going to be in town to do a little shopping, so we decided to give their mom a break and let Tanner hang out with us for a little bit.

Didn’t take long for them to rush to the play room.

They spent a bit of time playing with the trains.

But they really hit their stride when they pulled out the dress up box.

We then rejoined their mom and Mimi for the last bit of shopping.

Plus a quick treat once we were done.

The rest of the weekend was our usual lounging around the house and trying to get the kids to enjoy some independent play time. We had picked up a few extra goodies while we were out, so they didn’t have too much trouble with that.

I think he’s ready for his Avengers birthday party already.

Looks like that’s the end of the camera roll for the week. If you want to see the rest of the photos, you can click here. Otherwise, we’ll catch you next time!
