Graduation Leftovers

< | >

In all the excitement of getting Max’s graduation post together, I’d completely forgotten that I had taken another set of photos over the weekend. Instead of trying to shoehorn a visit to the park into the graduation park, I figured it would make sense to give the week a second post.

Saturday involved an unfortunately disastrous attempt to take the boys to the splash park. Apparently the boys were a little sleepy, which meant Max didn’t want to run around in the water. Owen didn’t want to go in without Max. This stalemate lasted until I had to create a public spectacle by carrying Max back to the car while Owen headed over to the regular park.

We decided to take it easy the rest of the day and let them rest up quite a bit. Then we tried again Sunday morning without the splash park.

This went much better.

Much, much better.

Maybe it’s because we filled them up with donuts before we started playing.

They both had lots of fun running around and occasionally pausing for daddy.

They’ve torn up a lot of the old park, but they left the yelling tube in.

This is why I call it the yelling tube.

This lasted about two seconds.

Owen quickly became upset that I was taking pictures of him instead of helping him out of the hole.

That pretty much sums up the day. The weather warmed up considerably and we had to head out to seek cooler places to relax the rest of the day. This would be Max’s last week in day care, and Owen’s last week as a Ladybug. He’s assured us that he’s going to be a Caterpillar, then go into a chrysalis and emerge not as a beautiful butterfly, but a “cool butterfly”. We have much to look forward to.
