Max was out for nearly a week with his grandparents and we figured it would be best to take it easy and ease him out of being spoiled all the time. We’re planning to take next week off as well, so we were saving all of our picture-worthy activities until then.

Of course, that doesn’t mean we just at around all week.

We had Lego things to build, after all.

Christy recently decided that our electric juicer should stop gathering dust in a forgotten kitchen cabinet, so we’ve had some good fresh juice lately.

What? Life gave him lemons. What else was he supposed to do?

Owen can be a handful at times, but sometimes we find a task he just enjoys doing. Laundry is one, lemons seem to be another. Maybe we need to get him behind the lawnmower…

On Friday it was crazy hair day at school, so we asked Owen if he wanted us to add a little color. He was hesitant at first, but I think he was pretty happy with the result.

Oooh. Mr. Serious.

Also good, but can we get a normal one?

Right, yes. We got it. But mommy wants one to send to the grandparents.

Thank you.

With our vacation started, we decided to ease some of the usual weekend restrictions and let the kids do their own thing on Sunday. They felt this was a good opportunity to build a “fort” in Owen’s room.

We had some boxes leftover from a closet organization.

Sadly this arrangement didn’t last long, and the boys wound up napping in separate rooms. Some things are just not meant to be.

I posted most of the photos from the week already, but if you need a few more feel free to click here. We’ll see you next time with some updates from my birthday week off.
