Thanksgiving in Sherman

< | >

As is our tradition, we spent Thanksgiving up in Sherman with Christy’s family. Typically I’d be running around snapping photos of the kids being crazy or people lounging around, but this year I believe I busied myself a bit too much with early holiday shopping to get the usual cornucopia of photos. That’s alright, though, the boys had fun anyway.

Part of the reason that I wasn’t snapping away all day is that the kids were occupying themselves with projects that didn’t warrant my non-stop lens harassment.

Perler beads are fun, but not terribly exciting to observers.

The beads did eventually give way to other diversions, including card games.

I believe they’re playing Exploding Kittens.

I can’t remember what game Max roped Pappaw into playing with him.

As I said, it was a fairly uneventful day. The food was good, we all had fun, and we headed back home nice and sleepy and well fed. On Friday, as is customary, we got down to business and started preparing the house for Christmas.

Tiny tree trimming.

We got all the ornaments out, put the inflatables out on the front lawn, and spent the rest of the weekend alternating between goofing off and trying to prepare ourselves for the run-up to the next holiday. If you want to see a few more photos of tree decoration and people playing cards, you can click here. If not, we’ll be back next time!
